Advanced Investigative Services was founded in 1988 by Gary Nickols as a Georgia investigative company. Soon after its inception Advanced Investigative Services launched an aggressive expansion program into Florida.  Within in one year of the expanding into Florida founder Gary Nickols Joined forces with Terry Purdy and moved the company to Sarasota, Florida, where they became Advanced Investigative Services of Sarasota, Inc.  Under the direction of Gary Nickols and Terry Purdy the two worked to build a dedicated team of investigators unsurpassed in the industry.  

After the rapid growth following their move to Florida, AIS solicited the expert services of Sandi Baker to head up the administrative staff and help to move the company to the next level.  Over the years her skills and foresight have helped in propelling AIS into the next generation of Investigation Companies.  With secure online video streaming and reporting AIS is state of the art. 

Gary Humberson, Jr, a seasoned investigator and claims adjuster, joined the AIS family as Vice President of Operations, and was tasked with heading up the SIU Unit, a specialized division of AIS exclusively dedicated to handling sensitive investigations. Gary Humberson is also active in the investigative community and plays active roles in many organizations such as; the Friends of 440, Tampa Chapter and the SBCA.

AIS offers full service investigations in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Our clients are made up of; Insurance companies, Governmental Agencies, Risk Managers, Third Party Administrators and Self-Insured companies, throughout the Southeastern United States. AIS maintains membership in the majority of the Claims Associations throughout Florida.
